Bella was coaxed into allowing for this rather unique photo op. To give you a little history about Bella. Well she is a mysterious little lady the wanders the streets of Montclair, New Jersey. You will usually see her walking around or sitting on some bench somewhere in Monctclair. Her favorite haunts seem to be in the populated areas of Bloomfield avenue, Park Street or Church Street. You never see her actually conversing with people and one will usually characterize her as just another denizen of the land of lunatics. If you are like me, an observer of people and if you, like me, happen to live in Monctclair, New Jersey, you would have also observed Bella constantly talking to herself; sometimes seeming to discuss something of extreme importance; even to the point of arguing with herself or, er, dare I might say with some imaginary person.

But on this one day, Bella decided to allow me to photograph her and she turned out to be a vibrant and I must say loving individual with a history that most of us will never have the great spiritual fortune of experiencing. I also should give due credit to another interesting woman named Nelia that played the role of good-cop in helping Bella allow for this unique photo op to happen. It seems that Bella is actually an American Indian, Cherokee in fact. Her mother was 100% Cherokee. I am not sure about her father but what I did manage to deduce was that he was a great man and a missionary that was trained in Boston. Other little facts that came up during the photo shoot were of a humorous nature. She seems to be a great movie buff and is obviously in love with Lorenzo Lamaz.

What else can I say about Bella. Well, though she seems to be a street person, bag lady, etc when you look into her eyes you see something of extreme clarity and beauty. Her eyes are grayish greenish and perfectly clear. When she speaks , she speaks with great clarity and with a wisdom that has long since left the streets of upscale suburbon communities like Montclair , New Jersey; streets filled with successful people that upon seeing the likes of Bella, actually either shudder in fear or do not even see this wonderful human being. And I must mention her smile. If you look into Bella's eyes while she is smiling I almost feel that you will be blessed in some way.
